Feature overview from the Steam listing, with Daily Callers and Character Creator notes from Hotfix 2 and Update 0.1.73.
What formats are confirmed?
Steam explicitly mentions custom personality JSON files and voice-cloning WAV files. It also lists Steam Workshop. These are the formats and distribution feature named by the developer; the listing does not provide a full schema, an installation folder, or a step-by-step publishing guide.
Character Creator and Daily Callers
Scam With Your Friends Hotfix 2 says Character Creator opens directly into creating a caller, while existing callers can be edited through Daily Callers. The same notes say resetting Daily Callers refreshes the latest defaults and avoids downloading already installed Workshop callers again unnecessarily.
Changes in 0.1.73
The update describes a fix for duplicate Daily Callers entries and improved adding, removing, and resetting callers in multiplayer. It also reports a Windows crash fix when importing WAV or MP3 recordings in Character Creator. That import fix does not replace the store’s stated custom-personality formats with an undocumented schema.
Before following a modding tutorial
Match a Scam With Your Friends tutorial’s game version to the feature it describes. No installation path, Workshop upload sequence, custom caller identity, or voice pack is supplied by this guide. For an actual format or import problem, start from the developer’s current community guidance rather than assuming a file location.
