Official feature summary from Metater’s 18 October 2026 Discord announcement. The post says “Changes since 0.1.81” without naming a target build. This page explains the announced controls, not unverified storage behavior or a legal interpretation.
What does Disable Call Saving change?
The developer describes two different uses of call video. The new option prevents permanent saving of new call videos, while the game retains temporary recordings for the boss-review system. Check the option in your installed build and read its in-game description.
| Item | Announced behavior |
|---|---|
| Permanent saving of new call videos | Prevented when Disable Call Saving is enabled. |
| Temporary boss-review recordings | Remain available for the review system. |
| Previously saved videos | The announcement does not describe deletion of existing files. |
The source does not specify retention times, storage paths, a deletion procedure or a guarantee that all data collection stops. Do not read those claims into the new switch.
Deepgram is optional and separately billed
The update offers Deepgram for online speech recognition using the player’s own account and API key. Microphone audio goes directly to Deepgram, and that provider bills the player. Built-in recognition remains available; purchasing the game does not establish an included Deepgram allowance.
Deepgram concerns speech recognition: converting your input into text. It is separate from the fictional caller’s generated speech. The announcement does not set a price or publish a complete data-processing architecture for every other game service.
Where can you read the privacy information?
The developer added a first-launch EULA and Privacy Notice, translated terms, privacy controls and links in Settings. Read those in-game documents for the terms shown by your installed version. This fan guide does not replace them or claim to reproduce their full text.
Version notes and what to check
The 18 October post announces the controls as changes since 0.1.81. That phrase identifies a comparison point, not the number of the newly released build. Record your actual installed version when reporting a recording or recognition issue.
Our practical reading: distinguish permanent call saving, temporary boss-review video and optional online recognition when describing a privacy question. They are separate items in the developer’s announcement.
